Possession at a party or social gathering can result in the maximum applicable penalty being imposed under the law.
Possessing drug paraphernalia is a separate offense that can carry 6 months and 1 day to 4 years’ imprisonment and fines.
Foreign visitors are subject to the same drug laws as Philippine citizens.
